7 Facts About  Nick Sandlin

Nick Sandlin is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians.

Sandlin enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi and played college baseball for the Southern  Miss Golden Eagles.

Sandlin won the Ferriss Trophy, USA Pitcher of the Year, and National Pitcher of the Year during his junior year.

The Cleveland Indians selected Sandlin in the second round, with the 67th overall selection, of the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with Cleveland, receiving a $750,000 signing bonus.

In 2019, he was a member of the Akron RubberDucks and the Columbus Clippers. He was forced to miss the rest of the season on July 1 due to a right forearm strain.

Sandlin was promoted to the major leagues for the first time in April 2021.

Sandlin made his Major League Baseball debut on May 1 against the Chicago White Sox, striking out White Sox outfielder Adam Eaton for his first major league punchout.

 Jake Sandlin, Sandlin's older brother, also played baseball for Greenbrier and Southern Miss.
